Balance file size against visible detail

Lower quality can soften textures and introduce artifacts. Reducing the maximum long edge also reduces the pixel dimensions, which often helps with sharing limits.

Compression does not guarantee a smaller file. Already efficient videos may grow. The result screen shows the actual size change and warns when there is no saving.

No. Source bitrate, codec, motion and settings affect the result. If it grows, try lower quality or a smaller resolution.

Can this compressor guarantee a video under a specific MB limit?

No. This version offers quality and resolution controls, not an exact target-size mode. Compare the actual output before submitting it.

Does compressing a video restore lost detail?

No. Re-encoding can lose more detail. Keep the original if you need a high-quality master.

Does the video compressor remove sound automatically?

No. Keep audio is selected by default. Clear it only when you want a silent result.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
