How to convert PDF pages to JPG

  1. Choose a PDF.

  2. Enter the pages to convert, or leave it empty for all pages.

  3. Set the DPI and quality. The defaults are 144 DPI and 80.

  4. Download each JPG or all of them as a ZIP.

Choosing DPI and quality for page images

Each page is drawn on a white background at the DPI you set, and DPI decides the pixel size. At the default 144 DPI an A4 page comes out at about 1191 × 1684 pixels, which reads well on a phone, in a chat or on a slide. At 300 DPI the same page is about 2481 × 3508 pixels, suited to printing, but it takes longer to render and makes much larger files.

JPG is a good fit for pages with photos or scanned paper, and the default Quality of 80 keeps those files compact. On pages that are mostly small text, low Quality values make letter edges smudgy, so raise Quality or switch to Convert PDF to PNG when crisp text matters.

Frequently asked questions

How do DPI and JPEG quality affect PDF images?
DPI sets the pixel size of each image, and quality sets how strongly the JPG is compressed.
How do I convert a PDF with more than 200 pages?
Run it in batches. Enter 1-200 for the first run, then 201-400, and so on. The images from one run must also stay under 150 MB in total.
How are the image files named?
Each file takes the PDF's name plus -page- and the original page number, so page 7 of report.pdf becomes report-page-7.jpg even if it is the only page you converted.
Will sideways pages come out sideways in the images?
Yes. Pages are rendered the way a PDF viewer shows them, including any rotation saved in the file. Fix their orientation with Rotate PDF first if needed.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are processed in your browser on this device and are not sent to BlurMe servers.
